About

Hey there!

This section is about giving you a bit of information about me and my work.

The Gear

I started to dive into photography in early 2017. I was shooting everything around me. Then I started to capture airplanes, since I love airplanes too. For about three months I was using the Nikon D50 with its kit lens and the Tamron 70-300mm f/4-5.6 LD tele-macro lens. Soon I realised, I have to step forward.

Then I bought the Nikon D3200 and I used it with the Nikon 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5 ED G lens. I captured every adventure of mine with this kit in that summer. But I've also got some jobs during the summer, so I could save some money for future expansion.

At the end of the summer I decided to sell all my D3200 gear (the body, the lens and accessories), and I made the big jump: I switched to FX. I bought a Nikon D600 with a Nikon 50mm f/1.8G.

In April 2018 I bought the Tokina 20-35mm f/2.8 for my Nikon D600 but I wasn't fully satisfied with the sharpness. However I really did enjoy having that wide angle capability on my DSLR so overall I was happy with the results.

Later in 2018 I decided that I want to raise the quality not just of my photos but of my videos too. I was searching for the best option and I found it pretty quickly: the Sony mirrorless system. I was working during the summer and I also sold my Nikon gear (the D600 along with the Nikon 50mm f/1.8 G and the Tokina 20-35mm f/2.8) so I could by my new dream kit: the Sony A7R II with the Sony 85mm f/1.8 FE and the Sony 28mm f/2 FE.
